I’m late in posting this week, but this week’s prayer is a sweet one:
O God, because without you we are not able to please you,
mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

I don’t know about you, but my heart is fickle. Sometimes I find it chasing after things that aren’t good for me, and other times it is stuck on old regrets that keep me from moving forward in life.
”Lord, would you direct and rule my heart by your Holy Spirit?”
It seems so simple. Yet how often I forget to ask!
God is ready and willing to work in our lives, and sometimes we just need to stop for a moment and breathe a small prayer like this one.
He is faithful. He is patient. He loves us dearly.
