How many donkeys do you know who have their own websites?
None? Well, that's just not right.
Let Flash be your first braying friend to enter the social media world. I give you FlashTheDonkey.com:
This is an exciting week for me and I want to take this morning to let you know why on earth I finally relented and let Flash have his own website.
And his own Twitter account.
And his own Facebook page.
He was so insistent on doing ALL of social media. Next thing you know, he will want his own Google+ and Pinterest accounts. Good grief, I suppose he will want his own blog.
This may be getting out of hand.
Anyway, back to why this is an exciting week.
On Thursday, I'll be going to North Carolina to attend the Allume conference, and while I'm there I'll be meeting with my agent, Ruth Samsel of William K. Jensen Literary Agency.
Yes, you read that right....I have an agent! I signed with the Jensen Agency in September! I feel very blessed and grateful to have connected with people who love my book proposal and see a future for it. Ruth is an energetic, amazing woman and she and I already work well together.
Best of all, she LOVES Flash.
Ruth has set up several meetings with publishers over the weekend, and I'll have a chance to talk with them about this crazy/amazing book I'm working on called The Donkey Principles. I have written and polished the first four chapters to go along with my proposal, so now it's time to find just the right publisher for it. You can read about it on Flash's website.
My prayer is that we will partner with a publisher who will connect with the message of the book as well as with with my intrepid long-eared character, who never ceases to amaze me with his humble wisdom.
You, my wonderful readers, are so much a part of this dream. Each day you encourage me to keep writing, keep dreaming, keep listening. You've been with me each step of the way and I'm so very grateful. It's been your enthusiasm for my Flash stories that ignited the spark to write a whole book about him.
Would you take a minute to go "like" Flash's Facebook page and follow him on Twitter? I'd love to keep you posted on Flash's updates, and it's the only way Flash himself can communicate with his friends and fans. You should see his little hooves fly across the keyboard!
I told you he is amazing.
I love you all!
