I've randomly selected a few phone photos to share with you today.
A Texas summer morning at Beulah Ranch, which is what we call our little place.
The pasture gate. It is zipped up tight with bungee cords and rope because Penny, Flash's girlfriend, is an escape artist who can squeeze through anything. I finally realized that whoever owned her previously probably just gave up trying to keep her in and said "good riddance," when she escaped for the final time.
Now she's OUR problem child.
Flash looks almost regal, with the evening sun shining through those gigantic ears. No doubt he is contemplating life and politics. Though a donkey is technically a symbol of the Democratic party, he wants people to know he is a Republican, albeit a liberal-leaning one.
I took a bunch of photos of my "Flash Doodles." I like to think that if he could, Flash would read the Good Book under a tree. Probably Proverbs, maybe the Minor Prophets. Definitely Deuteronomy.
Skipping rocks with my friend Priscilla Shirer and her boys at the pond. Notice how I have really great form, but super terrible skipping ability.
I have several hundred photos of Ivy in my phone. All of them priceless. This is Tom, flirting with her as Lauren looks on. Tom has a soft spot for his girls!
Meghan celebrated a big birthday this month. She's a music teacher, starting a new school year next week. Oh, dear Lord. Bless her.
Can't resist adding this one of Ivy because the yellow bow is so stinkin' cute on her!
Grayson moved back to Texas A&M and into a house with some friends. I won't show the photo of him and red, bleary-eyed me clutching him for the last time...this one is much happier.
What's NOT on my phone?
Well, I did not happen to take any photos of the terrible crisis in our office this week - an equipment malfunction that nearly ruined us. It was beyond awful.
Somehow, I didn't take pictures of me crying over our imminent ruin (in a locked bedroom).
I also didn't take pictures of me laying on the couch clutching my hip in pain when I put my joint out last weekend.
I avoided picking up the camera while frantically filling orders for DryFire.
I didn't take pictures of me drowning my sorrows in Blue Bell ice cream, although come to think of it, that was actually a happy moment.
Friends, it was quite a week.
How was YOURS? What things DIDN'T you take pictures of? And what scenes filled up your phone camera? I hope you'll link up below for Company Girl Coffee and let us know!
p.s. the imminent ruin was actually avoided, later...so we lived to fight another day. :) Thank you, God.
