OK so I managed to ruin the "little something" I was working on for you. It's really just a small friendship card I painted - and it looked lovely until I added one last detail.....ARGH. BLAST! Wrecked it. It is said that the biggest part of being a good artist is knowing when to stop - and I definitely went too far. I started over but will probably have to finish it this weekend.
Now, on to more successful topics. We are working on our bedrooms this week - how is yours coming along?
I love to crawl into bed and unwind with a good book before turning out the light. Usually, it's the Good Book - a few verses to meditate on put me in the right frame of mind and make me feel thankful. But sometimes I grab a magazine or another book to page through. These are usually stacked on my nightstand, along with various hairbands, water bottles, hand lotion and pen and paper. Also chapstick, tissues and bobbypins. That's a lot of stuff for a small piece of furniture!
My nightstand on a good day:
Today's Small Thing is to clear off your nightstands and give them a good dusting.
I usually have to use a damp cloth to remove the coffee rings and I'm always so impressed when the surface is completely clean. I wish it would stay that way, but then again that's what a nightstand is for: standing there like a servant to hold those things that are part of the nighttime rituals.
What things are part of your bedtime routine? What do the things by the side of your bed say about you? Mine say I'm a ponytail-wearing reader with chapped lips.
