I was digging for a piece of gum in my purse as I sat in church yesterday, and I became increasingly frustrated that I could not put my hands on one. There were so many scraps of paper in there that my rustling around started distracting the person sitting next to me.
"What are you digging for, gold?" his expression said. My husband was obviously not experiencing a post-communion need for fresh breath. ha ha
Between grocery receipts, gas receipts, Whataburger receipts and gift receipts, I've got a purse full of receipts. How about you? Maybe yours have made it from your purse to your dresser top, but chances are they are running amok on it. They are sneaky that way.
Today's Small Thing is to gather up the receipts that multiply like rabbits this time of year.
A simple ziplock bag can corral the gift receipts into one handy container and then be placed into a drawer or file, and another ziplock placed in your purse can catch all the new receipts that will land there in the next couple of weeks. Knowing you've got all those important pieces of paper where you can easily access them will make the rest of this month go much more smoothly.
Take 5 minutes to get a handle on all those receipts floating around. You might need them later.
