Wedding Update....
ARE WE NUTS?? Or just plumb silly?
Ya'll, we think we're going to have ourselves an outdoor wedding with a barn reception.

Move over, Flash, because we have plans for your barn and pasture.
It dawned on us, as we looked at venues around our area, that there are fewer places any prettier than our own little slice of Texas heaven. Oh, it's not a country club by any stretch of the imagination, but it suits us. And best of all, it suits Meghan to a "T." I can just see her and Nathan saying "I do" as the sun goes down over the field, and the little barn all decorated with lights and country touches.
We may be calling on all our friends to come and help us put on this wedding, but the more we plan it, the more excited we get! I think it's going to be simply wonderful.
Sidenote: I had to laugh at Meggie when we were talking about the cost of feeding people. A sunset wedding means that we should probably serve our guests dinner, and I jokingly suggested that we put "eat before you come" in the invitations so we could serve finger foods. She said, "or we could say, 'don't come hungry, just come a little peckish.'" LOL - a nod to Wallace and Gromit.
I hope you've had a good week. I'm so happy that my husband is home again....he will leave for another state shooting competition in a week and a half, so I feel like I want to make every day with him count. I should always feel this way, huh? He is worth it.
