I love the devices that make our lives easier. When I was a kid, we used to have to actually get up out of our chairs and walk to the TV set and turn a knob, in order to change the channel or turn the volume down. It was such a hassle.
Not that long ago, we used to be tethered to our phones with long, curly cords so we couldn't multi-task while talking on them. We certainly couldn't walk around the house or drive our cars while chatting!
But sometimes our modern conveniences get lost in the shuffle of life. I hate looking around for the remote controls when I want to watch TV. It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to set them on the coffee table each and every time, but apparently it is. I find them between seat cushions, on the floor, on side tables, and even in other rooms.
Today's Small Thing is to organize (or find) the remote gadgets in your home. Return cordless phones to their bases (after you find them), give TV remotes a home, reunite the wii handsets to their console, put the xbox items together. There are remotes for garage doors, window shades, stereos, ipods, and video cameras as well....all of which work wonderfully - if you can find them when you need them.
POINTS: 40 for dealing with remote possibilities today
Did I miss any remotes??
