In honor of St. Patrick's Day, let's talk "green."
It's still not easy being green.
Although, I think we are all a bit more aware of the environment these days, and for good reason. There's no sense in wasting valuable resources when we should be good stewards of this earth. But I admit I've gotten lazy since moving to the "country," where there is no curbside recycling.
I feel so guilty every time I throw away a 2 liter soda bottle and milk jug. Pickle jars put me into a coma of shame. And phone books! I can't bear the remorse.
Today's Small Thing will be easy for most everyone, because you're probably all already doing it anyway. Just consciously do something that's environmentally positive today!
Ideas?
- Wash clothes in cold water.
- Recycle.
- Reuse something.
- Compost.
- Use reusable grocery bags.
- Walk.
- Hang clothes out on the line.
- Turn the thermostat down.
- Unplug appliances when not in use.
