I'll announce November's winners and December's prizes tomorrow....just sit tight for another day!
I've been working on a Children's Church design that has a "Train" theme. Yesterday I sat in front of the computer and looked at trains, train depots, train cars, train engines and train accessories. I was trying to beat a deadline, and the whole day went by before I even took a shower or had breakfast. I finally had a bowl of cereal around 3 pm!
But looking at all those trains made me stop and think about the thing that makes trains so efficient: the tracks.
Riding the rails keeps those trains moving like clockwork. Engines can pull their loads into the train stations at the exact minute they were scheduled because those tracks guarantee that their trip will be exactly as it should be.
December is one month out of the year when it seems like everything "falls off track" for me. Actually, it starts with Thanksgiving...when I overindulge in the food and goodies that are arrayed so beautifully before me. But I also get off track in my housekeeping, my Bible reading, and my (ahem) exercise.
Today's Small Thing is to get back on track at the beginning of the month instead of waiting until New Year's Eve to make a sorry resolution. Do you need to get back on your diet? Today you'll get points for doing it. Is your house a disaster? Today's your day to earn some much-needed points for taking out your housekeeping schedule and working on today's tasks. Did you forget about exercising? Try taking a walk. You may choose whatever you need to in order to get "back on track!"
POINTS: 50 for starting December off right by getting on track!
