The Urban Dictionary says that the slang phrase "off the chain" means
(1) a great deal of fun
(2) very attractive
(3) out of control
Yeah, well I've got a whole bunch of things around here that I'd consider "off the chain," but not as in "a great deal of fun" OR "very attractive."
I'm gonna have to go with Door Number Three on that.
Example:
As I was pawing through my jewelry collection for something suitable to wear to church yesterday, I found a great pair of earrings....but where was the necklace that matched it?? Undaunted, I moved on to a different set. There was the necklace, but no matching earrings!
My jewelry box is one of the only places in this entire house that I can't blame anyone but myself for its disarray, and that knowledge frightens me. If it's any indication of what life would be like on my own, it's not a good sign.
Be that as it may, Today's Small Thing is to straighten up our jewelry. In my case, I will need to scour the house for the wandering earrings, and clear the bathroom counter of the baubles that collect there. My nightstand is another spot I tend to leave my pretties. And I stick my earrings into the arm of the couch when I'm watching TV....
It will only take a few minutes, but won't it be totally OFF THE CHAIN to see our jewelry looking all organized?
POINTS: 50, because it's Monday and I'm feeling sparkly.
PS Dawn posted photos and dished about our "working" weekend! Go check it out! I regret the gray T Shirt I was wearing in the pictures, but oh well. We had an awesome time!
