Actually, I don't have many best friends of the diamond kind, just my engagement ring that was a gift, and an anniversary ring that I earned. But I do love them.
The rest of my jewelry "collection" is thrown into a jewelry box in my bedroom. It's mostly all Target quality, but I have one or two things that are special.
And then there are my "Feed Store" watches. Our old, crumbly local feed store, "A-1 Feed" often has a table of 6.00 watches that aren't half bad. Some of them are pretty darn cute....VERY similar to the pricey ones in local boutiques. So I've purchased several over the years. I've even given some as gifts, but only to people who can appreciate the irony of the A-1 shopping experience.
Who knew that you could get donkey worm medicine, fly ointment, hay bales AND jewelry in ONE convenient location? I shop exclusively at the finest purveyors, obviously.
Anyhoo, today's Small Thing is to straighten up your jewelry. I've got earrings all over the house and several items by the bathroom sink. And the stuff in the box has kinda gotten thrown together. It won't take long to separate them into groups and put them neatly away. You don't need to color-code your necklaces unless you feel a burning desire to do so. Just give yourself a few minutes to gather your pretties and organize them.
POINTS: 50! Golly, that's a lot of points for playing with beads and baubles today!
Say, are you looking for something to blog about today? How about showing your favorite piece of jewelry and then letting us know when you've posted so we can enjoy learning something fun about you!
And check out Ten Things Tuesday, hosted by one of our own Company Girls, Mrs. Brownstone.
I love the whole idea of sharing ten things that you are thankful for....it puts everything into perspective and makes life that much better. Thanks for hosting this, Mrs. Brownstone!
