Are you yearning to "breathe" again and don't know where, or how, to start? Well, I have the answer.
Start with one Small Thing at a time.
I'm a huge believer in the power of small, successful steps....not giant, grandiose plans that never go anywhere. If your home and family life feels out of control, if it feels like one big ball of chaos, or even if it's pretty good but just needs a little help, you're in the right place. My simple system has helped thousands of women, from all around the world, bring peace, order and beauty to their homes.
Each weekday, I post a simple 5-minute task that will start bringing a sense of Sanctuary to your home, right from the get-go. I promise you - cross my heart, stick a pin in my eye - that you will see tangible improvement each and every day.
You will start feeling hopeful and successful, because we are working on our homes TOGETHER.
And we have fun doing it.
Here's how:
To sweeten the pot, each month I offer two prizes to participants. I've attached "points" to each Small Thing, so that you can accrue them for a chance to win the "Most Points" prize. I give you a Tally Sheet (below) for you to use to keep track of your progress - or you may feel free to use your own system. This is an HONOR SYSTEM, and you must do the tasks on the days assigned in order to receive the points.
The second prize is a "Random Drawing" prize that is available to anyone who participated at least once during the month. I will simply draw from all names for a winner.
Here's what you need to know so you can start making your home a sanctuary for yourself and your family!
Do I need any special supplies?
Here's a short list that will help you get things done easily. From time to time, I will let you know if there is something else you might need to participate.

Do I need to do the Small Things on the days they are "assigned?"
If you are participating in the "points game" for prizes, then yes, you need to do it on the day assigned. If you aren't concerned about "points and prizes," but just want to create sanctuary at home, you can catch up on the tasks anytime during the month. But it's better, any way you slice it, if you can do the tasks on the days assigned so that you get into habit of taking little steps toward organization. You'll feel a shift in your mindset and attitude as you embrace the idea that creating a home sanctuary is intentional - and joyful.
Can I get my kids to help?
Absolutely, YES! Families should share ownership in creating their own special refuge. There's no better team than the home team!
How will I report my points to you?
At the end of each month, I will ask you to send an email to me with your point TOTAL in it. I will select the one with the highest total. In the event of a tie, I will put the tied entries into a hat and draw one winner.
If you are entering for the "Random Drawing," you'll simply send me an email the indicates that.
On a final note, the Small Things I am sharing are literally things off of my own "To Do" list. Like your lives, my life is a juggling act. I will try and answer emails and respond to comments as best I can in a timely manner, but sometimes I'm not able to do as much as I'd like. You've blessed me immeasurably with your excitement and your hearts for creating home sanctuaries. I know God will "establish the work of our hands" as we commit this year to Him!
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
