I loved reading your comments and emails about your "pebble drops" on Friday! It is amazing how focusing on one small area can start a ripple effect in the rest of the house. Now, let me encourage you to look after your little sanctuary starting point....baby it along with tender care and keep it looking nice. Even if everything around it is in chaos, you will be able to feel good about that one spot and know what success looks and feels like.
You know what? Success feels wonderful. Get used to it.
Today, I'm encouraging you to do the minimum. What a perfect message for a Monday morning! YAY! Who wants to do the maximum, anyway?? Not me.
Well, I'm actually talking about Minimum Maintenance. Girls, you know, I simply HAVE to revisit MM at the beginning of a new year, because it is my secret weapon of homemaking greatness and it would be simply irresponsible of me not to share it!
I'm going to give you a couple of links to older posts about Minimum Maintenance, because apparently Google frowns upon "reposting" old posts...and also because I'm still out of town and struggling with my internet connection. Let me just say this: embracing Minimum Maintenance is THE single best thing you can do for your home, period.

Today's Small Thing is to read or review the Minimum Maintenance posts and then collect the following points, which I found delightfully inspiring from that last link....and I quote,
"POINTS: 50 for doing a 5 minute blitz in one room
BONUS POINTS: 30 for simply reading the posts about Minimum Maintenance
BONUS BONUS POINTS: 40 for doing a 5 minute blitz in at least one other room.
Golly, Rachel Anne! That's 120 points for about 15 minutes worth of effort!
I know. But this is the 15 minutes that's gonna rock your world!"
