We had a late freeze on Monday night, making the edges of my beautiful spring roses turn a little brown. Waaah! My two gorgeous bushes out front started going crazy with the nice weather last week, and they are showing off their decadent blooms. I braved the chilly morning to cut the first flowers of the season, then put them in a vase on my kitchen window sill.
They looked so pretty, I almost didn't even notice the dirty window glass behind them!
That is, until the sun started shining through it. Again, Waaah!
Today's Small Thing is to let some sunshine in by washing a window. The ones I notice the most at our house are the sliding glass door and that kitchen window. Wow! They are pretty bad! The doggy nose-prints and slobber have GOT to go. I notice that there are a lot of sticky fingerprints that must say "adios" as well.
Can it get any easier than THAT? Oh, I surprise myself with such tiny tasks. Tsk, tsk.
But great things happen in the small steps, remember? Having a little bit of pride and gumption about how things look around here makes me feel like I can take on the world.
Just one small thing at a time.
