Is it Friday already? Good Gracious, the week flew. Being gone last weekend messed me up, I guess, and I never even made it around for coffee last Friday! Where are my manners??
I started back to painting this week, with a mural in a VERY contemporary luxury home. The home is decorated in a sleek, minimalist way, with lots of glass and chrome, marble and fine art glass. It is quite something....not at all my style, but I can appreciate the beauty just the same. Especially since the home is absolutely SPOTLESS! It's hard to believe people actually live there, because there is almost no evidence of human life.
Here is my mural in progress. It is in a game nook, and the wall is curved. I got the design inspiration from a design I found online on a cigarette lighter, of all things!
Today, I will add some color interest to the smaller shapes, add a teal color to the background within the frame, and then paint a color on the wall around the black frame....maybe orange or yellow/gold. This project has been a test of patience: lots of taping, re-taping, cutting tape, pulling tape and then taping again. I have no fingerprints left because the tape has pulled them off my fingers.
